Tightness In Throat, Numbness In Lower Right Jaw. Had Oral Surgery On Jaw, Had Reaction To Anesthesia. Treatment?

I have been experiencing tightness in my throat (tough to swallow--causing a bit of hoarseness) and numbness/tingling in my lower right jaw. I recently had oral surgery on the left, lower jaw and had a reaction to the anesthesia. Occasionally, I also have tightness in my chest around the breastbone. These numbness events usually take place in the afternoon (now) and evening. Everyday.

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding tightness inthroat and chest, though you have been operated recently on left side jaw.

I am suspecting most likely you are having post operative oedema which appears due to surical trauma and it will subside in two to three weeks.

In the meantime try to maintain your oral heygine very cautiously as you have adviced by your treating doctor.

Regards.
