Thumb Injury, Pierced Deep, Bleeding, Scabs, Redness, Swelling. Will It Heal?

I recently cut my thumb on a broken glass, it pierced deep enough for a fair amount of blood to come from the hole but it healed ok. However the small scab had become slightly raised and red, like a swollen spot under the skin, and while it doesn't really hurt it's been that way for about a week. Is there something I can do to make it heal properly or will it just go away on it's own?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi, Wait for 2 to 4 weeks. After complete healing of the wound ,if there is elevated skin on the healed area, go for radiologic investigation to find out part of glass remaining underneath the tissue. If it found, go for minor surgery ,to remove the small part of glass. And if radiology is normal, consider it as hypertrophic scar, consult dermatologist for intralesional steroid injection.. You will be benefitted...ok
