Throat Irritation. Done Endoscopy, Was On Dexilant. Tried Different Treatments, No Improvement. Opinion?
I have been dealing with what I think is acid reflux for past year. I have been to 2 GI's. I don't have the classic chest symptoms as chest pain. I have a constant throat irritation. I have had an endoscopy last June2912 and had been on dexilant from 2011-2012 until this problem surfaced May 2012. One doctor wanted me on the Canadian equiv. of raglan. The other wanted to treat aggressively with a bunch of avid reflux meds. I tried for a couple weeks and nothing made a difference. It does not matter what I eat either.

I read your query and knew about your diagnosis and treatment given to you. I would like to tell you that reflex disorder is not treated by antacid only. We should treat the factors connected to this as-
1- Avoid spicy foods.
2- Drink sufficient fluid.
3- Avoid anxiety
4- Take antacid with PPI.
5- Take proper rest.
