Throat Infection, Pain In Throat, Difficulty Talking. No Permanent Cure Yet

Hello Doctor, my friend is suffering from throat infection every now n then....have checked up with different doctors too, but no cure or permanent result received. some time voice box so pin that she is not able to speak fluently.
Iam from Baroda, Gujarat, India. I have studied for diet also. Pl advice suitable medicines...

Hi and thanks for the query,

It might be important to investigate why he is having recurrent infections. Three possible causes stand out. First, inappropriate drugs prescribed for inappropriate durations of time. Secondly, the drug could be appropriate but the germ resistant to the drug. Thirdly, there could be a malformation or anomaly like enlarged tonsils that favor recurrent infections. Causes of immune suppression like HIV and diabetes also have to be carefully considered.

I suggest you get a complete clinical review from an ENT specialist.
