ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic forum,

Thickened white patches in oral cavity called as leukoplakia patches . Swollen gum with red lump and red hard dots called gum hyperplasia or gingivitis.

Leukoplakia patches are premalignant lesions and seen in chronic smoker and tobacco chewer.

In my opinion avoid smoking and tobacco if you are habituated . Take medicated mouth wash and you can use a medicated oral paste for 2 to 3 days .

But if no relief than see an dentist or an ENT Specialist for detail examination.

welcome to healthcaremagic

you observation of a whitish patch in the throat requires further evaluation at the earliest by an ENT surgeon or a dentist to rule out any premalignant lesions
