Thick White Discharge, Frequent Urination. Diagnosed As UTI. Taking Medication. Could It Be Yeast Infection Along With UTI?

hi , i am 33 female , having uti from last 20 days , it started with fever n chills , urine culture showed E colli more than 1,00,000 , i was prescribed amicacin injuction for seven days followed by nitrofur for 21 days . even after completing the Medication symptoms still persist like very thick white cheesy discharge and frequent urination causing lot of discomfort , cud it be a yeast infection along with the e colli .

Persistence of symptoms indicate two things. first thing is that the treatment was inadequate or that other pathogens were not targeted.
You are very correct this could be an associated yeast infection. I would suggest a complete test panel to be carried out. A vaginal swab for direct exams, culture and sensitivity tests to be done to check for possible yeast infection. After samples are collected, blood spectrum anti fungal drugs like vaginal Nystatin or Flcuonazole could be started as laboratory test results are awaited.
