I AM A MALE AGE 51 I HAVE HAD A HEART BYPASS 4 YEARS AGO. I FOUND A KNOT ON MY LOWER LEFT RIB ABOUT 2 MOUNTHS AGO AND IT HAS GOT A LITTLE BIGGER. I HAVE NO PAIN FROM IT BUT I HAVE BEEN MORE TIRED THEN I HAVE BEEN BEFORE

A knot on the lower left rib can be due to an injury or inflammation of the costochondral joint. An ultrasound examination is needed to find out the cause of the swelling. It can be a sebaceous cyst, lipoma or a subcutaneous follicular infection.
