Testicles Red And Burning, Painful, Was Diagnosed With Bacterial Infection And Psoriasis. NOt STD. Done Biopsy. What Is It?
My testicles are red and burning, painfully so. The redness is spreading to my penis and the creases in my skin. I do not have a sexually transmitted disease. Originally diagnosed as a fungus, bacterial infection and psoriasis by a dermatologist. The condition has been treated with a large variety of ointments with no success. This condition has been treated for over six months. I am currently taking steroids to bring the swelling down so a biopsy can be done. Should I be going to a different specialist?
It seems that you are not having any STD. Psoriasis can relapse, so the treatment has to be repeated when it is necessary. If there is any precipitating factors like septic focus or drugs are there, we have to look for and if possible correct the same. Fungus has to be diagnosed and treated adequately, then a total eradication is possible. Scrotal dermatitis is another possibility. Bacterial infection can be super added to any one of these. Biopsy is rarely needed. If you go for a review, your dermatologist can cure you easily. Dr S.Murugan
