Hey, so my left testicle hurts. I don t think it s torsion but I m not sure. I have slight abdominal pain , and I wanted to know if I could manually fix it. I know the left testi turns counterclockwise.
Hi ! All testicular painful swellings are not torsions. The commonest cause is unnoticed trivial trauma of the testis due to any cause like weight lifting, prolonged standing, or running/jogging without proper scrotal support. Any inflammation of the testis give rise to pain and discomfort which may be transmitted to the abdomen as the nerves of the testes are derived from abdomen. You may use a good scrotal support, with some anti inflammatory drugs and antibiotics on consultation with your family physician. I am not sure what has prompted you to suspect torsion of the testis in the first instance. However, if your suspicion is strong, then I will suggest you to consult your family physician/urologist at the earliest possible. Wishing you an early recoveryt.
