I have been having stomach troubles since early July when our family was at the beach on vacation. The entire time I had terrible episodes of diahrea (sometimes 8 -9 times during the night and also during the daytime). Once I got home it still continued with stomach cramping, bloating, diahrea, etc. It eased off some but I became really tired and continued with cramping episodes, burning sensation in the stomach area along with loose stools. I went to the doctor and he did stool test to determine if I had any viruses (tested for 9 different viruses). Unfortunately, the lab made an error and only did 5 which were negative. The doctor just sent me back yesterday for the other 4 but he put me on two antibiotic drugs and told me to go on a liquid diet. I am so confused as to what is going on but have 8 of the 10 symtoms that are mentioned here on this site. I am afraid to take the antibiotics. One of them has so many side effects and restrictions about when to take the medicine and what to avoid (milk products, yogurt, other meds, etc.) that I am afraid to take 2 at one time. I have been told that they work better together than one by itself.
