Tenderness, Breast Pain, Lymph Node, Tumors Removed. Several Schwannomas In Different Region. Reason For These Symptoms?

My husband has quite a long health history and had lymph nodes removed from his right underarm over 13 years ago as a result of a melanoma diagnosis and sentinel node biopsy and now is experiencing some tenderness and pain in his right breast area. He recently had surgery in January to remove 2 spinal cord tumors which were benign and had been told by his neurosurgeon that he has schwannomatosis ( as he has had several other benign schwannomas in different regions of his body). Prior to me getting him in to see his family doctor, do you have any suggestions as to what might be causing these symptoms?

Hello,

Schwannoma is generally due to genetic abnormality. It affects the covering/sheath of nerve. Most common site is spinal cord. It can cause pressure symptoms over nerve and cause pain in area supply by nerve. Surgery is definitive treatment for it.

Good luck.
