Tear In Penis During Intercourse, Bleeding. Harmful?
Hello, I am 56, 51/2 height, 165 weight. Long medical history, sorry. my qiestion is, this morning during intercourse my husband saw a lot of blood over both us and the bed. He did find a tear on his penis, first time that has ever happened in our 15 years of marriage. What happens with the blood left in my vagina, is this a bad or harmful thing?

This is may be due to too much friction between penis and vagina as you mentioned your age 56 Y , in this age your vagina will be dry so due to this reason i think your husband got this injury. Kindly consult with your doctor for proper treatment and use extra lubricant during intercourse, or some time its happen due to male yeast infection.Some time extra penile skin also cause bleeding or cut in such type of conditions when vagina is too much dry .

I can understand your concern for heavy bleeding caused by penile tear.
Now the reason for bleeding is the simple injury caused during the excitation. As penile tip is quite soft and vascular structure so even a small tear bleeds a lot, if is on glans penis or even on shaft. If the tear is bit deep or blood is still oozing then your husband should take proper antibiotics under medical guidance. Other wise if the area is not oozing or the tear appears to be superficial then need not to worry much as the tip is having good blood supply and will heal in few days.
Now for the second part of question, is there any reddish discharge coming out form your vagina. If it is there then you can simply do vaginal douches which helps out in cleaning the vaginal area. Otherwise also due to gravity and standing position the blood itself comes out from the vaginal portion. As per your history also most of the blood spilled around you and over the bed. The remaining amount of blood if at all is there then will not be causing any problem as is almost negligible amount.
The last part of suggestion is not to have sex for around 5-7 days period to avoid further injury.
