Taking Testosterone For Polyneuropathy. Will Increasing Dosage Or Taking Another Anabolic Steroid Relieve Pain?

I have been tentatively diagnosed with polyneuropathy. I am currently receiving the standard dose for low testosterone using depotestosterone administered at Dr.'s office. It helps a little bit at the beginning of the two week cycle. Would expanding the dosage or adding another anabolic steroid help with my pain symptoms?

The reason I ask is that I am frequently weak and winded for no reason, in addition to the full body pain that requires a large amount of opiates just to get out of bed. I want to exercise to take some weight off, but I simply don't have the energy. When I get my Depotestosterone shot, it definitely gives me back a little more energy, so I am thinking that more would help. Please advise.

Hello,
The main object of treatment is to find out the underlying cause and correct it. Then the neuropathy often improves on its own. Second part is to relieve the painful symptoms. For you the underlying cause / treatment of the cause are not explained. You are already on drugs which are given for severe peripheral neuropathy. So can’t add any anabolic steroid or pain killers.
Whereas you can try other ways of pain reliever like.
Pregabalin, carbamazepine and phenytoin
Lidocaine patch
Amitriptyline and nortriptyline
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
The chronic use of low testosterone (depotestosterone) and opiate are harmful to the body.
As you are almost addicted to these, you wish to add further drugs. Find the etiology and try to come out of these two drugs. Then you can try alternate harmless drugs.
Best wishes
