Taking Ramipril, Paracetamol And Ibuprofen For Blood Pressure And Hyper Mobility Problem. Having Tingling Sensation In Whole Body

I'm a woman age 52 years old 10.5 stone, 5' 5" tall. I have a genetic disposition to blood pressure problem, from both parents who died young. I take ramipril 10mgs for blood pressure. The pill Norgeston, Also I use paracetomol and ibuprofen, for pain discomfort. My health: blood pressure problems and hyper mobility syndrome.

I have suffered this very strange sensation for a long time and wonder if you help, I experience a pulsating tingling, sensation throughout the whole of my body, including my hands head and feet,it is hard to describe, but the sensation can be painful and usually worse at night in the early hours. It wakes me up, I have ringing in my ears and headache. I then need pain relief medication.I have suffered like this for many years. Some times it is really awful, it appears to be getting worse.

Dear patient,

Thanks for your concerns. The abnormal tingling sensation given wide distribution and location is reminsicent of a polyneuropathy, meaning a primary disorder of the nerves. Sometimes, they could stem from simple vitamin defficiencies like B12 in strict vegetarians, toxic from medications or alcohol or diseases like diabetes. Probably, a consultation with a neurologist who can conduct a through neurologic physical exam will be useful.
