Taking Medication For Fluctuating BP. Gall Bladder Removed. Severe Headaches, Relief With Medicines, Ice Packs. Any Home Remedy?

I have had blood pressure issues for several years and took medicine that worked great. About 3 weeks ago I went into the hospital with pancreatitis and had my gall bladder removed. My Bp was so high that I ended up staying extra days. Now I am home and my BP was fluctuating with a new med they gave me. I am back on my old medicine but I am still getting the most horrible headaches that are waking me at night and not letting me sleep when my BP is elevated. I have taken pain meds and then I have been putting cold (ice packs) on my head to sleep at night which work somewhat. Is there anything else I can do at home to help with these headaches? I have had headaches and migraines for about 25-30 years but these just make me feel like I want to blast my head off. I am a nurse as well so I feel out of options

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
One thing I would like to say you that there is no any particular clinical sign which is said to be indication of high BP unless it too high, your problem is highly related with your mental condition which really need to be control, otherwise you will be facing headache all along the way, for better result you can try "Amitriptyline" just one tab . at night will give good result have great day.
