Hi, I'm 33 and have hsv one and two. I have been put on macrobid for uti. However, it's given me a terrible yeast infection. I just started taking macrobid Friday twice a day. I'm still having burning and itching. My gonorrhea and Clymidia test were negative. Why can't I feel better?

Helo, It is my privilege to be able to help you, As your having HSV 1 and 2 infection it is a viral infection which is a self limiting disease which has to subside by itself. We cannot cure it as it resides in the nerve root ganglion and remain dormant for many years.Pain will be more as it affects the nerve endings. But we can prevent the complications by that virus by taking proper treatment and maintain a good hygiene and improving the immuno status. For Further evaluation please contact your dermatologist. Thank you.
