Taking Drugs, Unexplained Bruising On Vein In Throat. Cause?
I know it s not a smart thing to do but I ve been snorting pills for the past month. last night I noticed some unexplained bruising on the vein on my throat . Today it s worse and the other side is like that as well. what causes this and how dangerous is it really besides the acetaminophine? I ve had an issue wth quitting cold turkey since it s been daily sometimes 8 or more a day.... sometimes less. what can you recommend on quitting.
YES use of snorting pills like cocaine has been documented to cause decrease in blood platelets which are required for the normal clotting process. When they are decreased this will result in abnormal clotting and thus result in bruising on any part of the body.
In addition the use of cocaine can result in high blood pressure which in turn can cause even bleeding in the brain when the platelets are decreased and even if they are not.
I would recommend that you get the following blood tests doneASAP- CBC, BT, CT, PT, PTT
