Taking Benadryl. Have Hair Loss. Side Effect Of The Medicine?

I've been reading the previous questions about bennadryl causing hair loss. I just put two and two together that this could possibly be the cause of my hair loss over the past several months. I just stopped taking it but was wondering how long it might take to see less shedding and will the hair I lost grow back? I have also been taking biotin over the last week.

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. However taking benadryl would not, I believe, have any effect on hair loss. I recommend that you contact a dermatologist who will help with your hair loss. If you are male, then male pattern baldness usually runs in the family, and can happen even in isolated cases and you do not need to worry. I do believe that there are case reports of biotin, selenium and zinc helping with hair and beauty.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
