Taking Tamiflu As Prophylaxis For Possible Exposure To Influenza A. Can I Stop It And Restart During Exposure?

If I have been taking Tamiflu as prophylaxis for possible exposure to Influenza A, can I stop taking it when I am not at risk of exposure and restart it in a few days when the exposure occurs again? I am not symptomatic and do not think I have actually been exposed but work in an environment that is experiencing an outbreak .

Hi Dear
Welcome to the board of Health Care Magic.

Dear friend I would like to advice you that first of all you should go for the HINI vaccination for the current prevelant strain.

If you are not in the epedmic/endemic area then tamiflu can be stopped.

Hope your query is answered .

Thanks
