Taking Ramipril To Control Blood Pressure. Have Diabetes. Will The Flushing Side Effect Get Better?
Will the flushing side effect get better the longer you take this medication? This is something I deal with daily and is most common in the evening hours. I consider it severe but not sure! I have been on this medication along with Ramipril for some time now to control my blood pressure. I am a type 1 diabetic of 40 years.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Prateek's Response
Side effect of Ramipril usually get better with time, since you have to take these medicines for life therefore you can observe the adverse effect of flushing for few more days. If these adverse effect go away soon then you may continue with same medicine or else you can again consult your treating doctor and request to change the anti hypertensive medicine and again observe the adverse events
Hope this helps you
