Hi,
A home pregnancy test would give a better confirmation when performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine 3-7 days after a missed period. The medication you have been prescribed does not give a false negative or positive test. You may get a serum beta-hCG titre along with a trans-vaginal sonogram for a better conclusion in the current scenario. Hope you find this information useful. Good luck.
