Taking Lipitor And Plavix. Have Chest Pain Before Heart Attack. Reason For Taking Medicine Despite Low Cholesterol?

I am a thin female who has worked out since the 1970's, watches her diet and total chlosterol was 136. I had stent put in my right coronary artery in January. I had no breathing problems but chest pain right before I had a slight heart attack. they have me on 80mgs of Lipitor. I am also on Plavix still January if my chlosterol is that low why do I still have to tay on 80mgs of Lipitor. my total chlosterol now is 100

Hello.In a person with a history of heart arteries problem with implanted stent ,is absolutely essential to take that drug(atorvastatin) or a similar drug(rosuvastatin, simvastatin, pitavastatin).In function of your cholesterol levels your doctor may consider reducing the dose of the drug, but you must take it
