Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi there.

The doses are correct and not above the recommended maximum doses, if your question means to ask this. But currently if you do not have low sugars with these new tablets then continue them for another one month and check fasting and post breakfast sugars. If they are still not fine then these doses are not correct for particularly you. In that case you will have to go back to your doctor and see what kind of diabetes you have got- type 2 diabetes or LADA? You have not mentioned your age, weight and since how long you are diagnosed to have diabetes, so whether these medications are right for you or not, I cannot comment now.
I hope you understand. Take care.

hello!
for uncontrolled diabetes a doctor can do any of the following:
1. increase dose of already prescribed drug
2. add on another drug to one prescribed earlier
3. change and introduce another drug.
what your diabetes specialist has done simple is to increase dose of Glimer from 2mg to 3mg
increase glucophage(metformin) dose from 850mg to 1000mg(500mg as gluformin and 500mg as istamet 50/500)and add a glitazone(sitaglipton 50mg)(istamet50/500mg). don't worry its only to control your sugar levels better.
take care.
