Helo Sir, I am Farid and 60 years old. I have diabetes 2. I take 2 tables of Glyciphage 500, one each after food. My sugar levels are ok on fasting and on random but after I have more than 175. My Hb1 is also 6.5. Pl let me know how to control the same and if FENFURO can further improve on my sugar levels.. Does it have any side effect. Does STEVIA also help s.levels? Thank you

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Dear Mr. Farid,

I am Dr. (Col) R Karanwal, M.D. (Internal Medicine), Consultant Physician, for your assistance.

Thanks for reposing your faith in me and post your query on this website. I fully appreciate your concerns.

Firstly, Glyciphage is ALWAYS taken 30 MINUTES BEFORE MEALS AND NOT AFTER.

HbA1c of 6.5 indicates IDEAL CONTROL OF DIABETES.

If you had come to my Clinic for consultation, I would have advised Pioglitasone 15mg, just 5 minutes before breakfast. Your PP sugar will come down to acceptable range.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

I am confident that you will benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance. My endeavor would always be to give you a sound medical advice, to the best of my knowledge and vast experience.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
