Taking Cerazette. Had Sex. Emergency Contraception Required?
Emergency contraception required? I am taking Cerazette and have just realised that I forgot to take a pill yesterday morning (Tuesday). I did take my pill today (Wednesday) and all previous mornings prior to Tuesday. The last time I had sex was on Sunday evening (approx 36 hours before missing a pill). Do I require emergency contraception, or will the Cerazette protect me? Thank you.

If you are taking Cerazette tab periodically on schedule time,then it gives protection more than 98%.
You did sex on Sunday and missed pill on Tuesday.
Possibility of pregnancy depends on whether sex is done around ovulation time or not. If not,then there is no chance of pregnancy.
If it occurs around ovulation time,then chance is minimal.
So wait for next period.If missed,then do a urine hcg test after 1 wk.
Check result and consult with doctor.

You’re not protected against pregnancy if you are on Cerazette and you’re more than 12 hours late taking your pill
What you should do: Take a pill as soon as you remember. Only take one, even if you’ve missed more than one pill.
Take the next pill at the usual time. This may mean taking two pills on the same day (one when you remember and one at the usual time) or even at the same time (this is not harmful).
Carry on taking your remaining pills each day at the usual time.
For the next two days (48 hours) after you remember to take your missed pill, use extra contraception, such as condoms, or don’t have sex.
If you have unprotected sex during these two days, you may need emergency contraception.
Meanwhile, if you have passed the time frame for emergency contraception, please get a urine ( HCG ) pregnancy test if you miss your next period.
Having unprotected sex BEFORE missing a pill minimizes your chances of a pregnancy.
