TTC. Spotting Before Periods, Frequent Urination, On And Off Shooting Pain In Breast. History Of Partner Having Vasectomy Reversal. Implantation Bleeding?

Hi. My husband had a vasectomy reversal at the end of June 2013. Since trying to conceive I have spotted roughly a week before my period is due. My periods have always been 28 days exactly. This month I've worked out 2 dates for my next period. One from the day I started spotting and one from the day I actually saw bright red blood. So my period is due in roughly 7-10 days from now. This morning I started spotting lightly and am urinating more frequently. Also I have a shooting pain on and off in just one breast. I wondered if maybe I've been experiencing implantation bleeds but as my husbands sperm may not yet be viable then the pregnancy just comes away. I'm beginning to really worry now. I have just turned 40 years old.

Hi,

As you are saying that are experiencing frequent urination, it is might be related to possible urinary tract infection. You can do a urine analysis and urine culture to determine the right treatment.

Next, you are saying that are spotting, but are not mentioning other local vaginal problems. Usually, vaginitis is related with such symptoms, especially when itching is present.

Therefore, I would suggest to do a culture of vaginal swab to determine the infection treatment.

You can do a pap smear test to see if other problems are present.

If you really are worried although the above-mentioned advice, you can discuss such problems with your OG.

I would recommend, meanwhile, to

- take some urine salts (containing potassium and magnezium citrate) to normalize the pH of your urine;

- drink plenty of water

- get a good hygiene of your genitalia

Hope it helped!
