Swollen Tight Vagina After Intercourse. Feeling Lump Inside. Cancer?

Hi, Doctor.
Recently while having sex with my boyfriend my vagina becomes extremely tight and swollen during intercourse. If he goes at certain angles, it feels like he's hitting a painful bump on the inside on the right. It's really terrible and it burns to urinate afterwards. I just got a pelvic exam and my doctor didn't notice anything at the time. I know it's not from friction because we always use condoms and stay lubricated. I'm only 20, but could it be some kind of symptom of cancer? Please help.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Thesymptoms that you have mentioned are suggestive of vaginism.
Vaginism is pain, soreness felt during or after intercourse.
It is caused due to high tone of the vaginal muscles.
The tone is especially high during young age as yours.
Burning sensation after intercourse suggets urinary tract infection (UTI).
UTI is very commo after intercourse.
It can be avoided by urinating immediately after having intercourse and drinkking plenty of water.
As for now you can get your urine examined microscopicall to look for any evidence of infection.
If there is any evidence of infection, urine culture will identify the infectious agent causing the UTI.

Since, pelvic examination has been done by your gynecologist and bo lump/ growth has been identified, there is no possibility of cancer.

Thanks and take care
