Swollen Lymph Nodes On Head, Neck, Ear. Red Bumps, Tingling, Painful. What Could It Be?

i currently saw my doctor regarding swollen lymph nodes on my head, neck and ear. along with that came these red bumps (not pimples ) but they tingled and hurt. She said she didnt know what it was but prescribed me antibiotics. My lymph nodes are going down, but the bumps are tingling . I have had chicken pox before, and there is no fever and I feel fine. Actually ran a 5k today. Any thoughts on what it could be?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding swelen lymph nodes on head and neck along with red bumps which are painful.

Since the bumps are painful and are giving tingling sensation it suggest infective nature of bumps. Because of infective nature of bumps lymph nodes of that area are enlarged and this is doubly confirmed by response of treatment taken in the form of antibiotics and anti infllamatry.

I am suggesting you to please continue the treatment and remain in touch to your treating doctor.

Regards.
