Swollen lump on side of body, painful, in middle rib area Hello, I have a very painful, swollen lump on the left side of my body. It feels like it is between my ribs and skin. It hurts all the time and worse when i cough or breath deeply. I am recovering from a very severe case of bronchitis and have finished my antibiotics . i feel like the bronchitisis is much better but the pain I have described is not any better. I have had an x ray and a ct scan and have an appointment scheduled with a pulmonary doctor. I was very surprised that an explanation was not found for this when the tests were read. I am currently using an Advair 100/50 inhaler daily. Two puffs twice per day and Tramodol for pain which doesn t help much. I am 49 years old and a smoker. I do have slight COPD but was told that is not causing the pain in my side. I am a female and weigh 107 lbs. I have lost a few pounds recently even though I am eating regularly. Any insight would be very welcome. Thank you!
