Swollen Genitals, Intense Burning, Using Steroid Cream, Swab Test Showed Negative For Yeast Infection. Can It Be More Than A Fungal Infection?
I went to my obgyn because my genitals felt swollen That is the best way I can describe it. she said that I am irritated when doing a pelvic exam. She sent a swab to lab and it came back negative for yeast or bacterial infection . Today I am burning like crazy and using a steroid cream. Please help! Can it be more than a fungal infection?
Hi, Nbreeney.
Thanks for query.
If there is local swelling or cellulitis of genitals, swab may not show any infection.
So it is better to go for one antibiotic medicine course to be on safe side.
Keep local hygiene dry and healthy.
Ok and bye.
