Swollen Calf Muscle With Pain. Poor Blood Circulation?

Hi I have a swollen left calf most on the outside of my leg. I have had it for 6 weeks it is now becoming very painful to walk on this (pain mostly in my foot ) it becomes worse in morning and after rest. It feels warm inside but not to touch it is about 1 cm bigger than my right one, I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago (foot wasnt painful then) and he went through a dvt questions and then took bloods but all came back fine. It feels like there is poor circulation in my lower left leg and when I stand up I can feel the blood rushing to it. Other wise I feel fine

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such swollen and painful calf is most likely caused by veins thrombosis. You can perform simple test to confirm this diagnose. Please straighten you leg in the knee and flex your foot down. If the pain appears in the calf, veins thrombosis is possible.
I suggest you to visit your doctor and have blood work, CRP and D-dimers checked. If D-dimers will be elevated, Dopplers ultrasound is necessary.
Please do not neglect such symptoms as veins thrombosis can lead to pulmonary embolism.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
