Swollen Belly, Removed Tumor Ovary And Tube On Left, Had Mastectomy, Gone Through Menopause. Suggestion?

I am 62. I had a large (3lb) tumor removed along with the ovary and tube on the left side 4 weeks ago. I have been having hot flashes and trouble sleeping since then. My belly also feels swollen, like I need to unbutton my pants all the time. Also, just two months before I had a mastectomy on the left side. I know this is all a lot for my body and I am old, but I want to fit into my clothes and feel like my old self. I do not like taking drugs and did not take anything while going through menopause. My question: Will my right old ovary start working? Do you suppose the left ovary was working before and not the right? Or is the right just in shock? Can I expect to wait it out and start feeling like my old self soon?

I understand that you have attained menopause. After menopause hormonal(estrogen) production falls gradually due to declined ovarian and women experience hot flushes sweating etc due to low estrogen levels. The remaining ovary cannot suffice for the hormonal level because its function decreases naturally with age and is irreversible. However you may consult your gynecologist if the above said symptoms persist and annoying.Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
