Swollen And Painful Feet, Fever. Chest X-ray Shows Enlarged Lymph Nodes. What Is It?

It started on 20 July. Both of my feet got swollen with pain. I was not able to walk properly. I went to see the doctor and was told to take Tylenol and do hot water therapy . By 26 July fever also started with swing from normal to 101 F. I went to a walk-in clinic and was asked for several blood and urine test along with chest x ray. Next day I was told that the blood reports are all good with no sign of infection however the chest x ray is showing enlarged lymph nodes and therefore CT scanning should be done. Two weeks later the CT scan was done and after further two weeks I was told that lymph nodes are confirmed on one side with size as big as 4 cm. I was then sent for respiratory test. Report came good showing no restriction before or after Ventolin. It has been two months now and no diagnosis are made. My cough gets better and worse during the day. When I take Tylenol, it goes away as if it was never there. During night I do not cough. It starts after food or eating anything. It increases during afternoon if I do not take Tylenol otherwise it is okay. Fever is gone but feeling of tiredness and pain returns with cough if I do not take Tylenol. What it is?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since almost 2 1/2 months passed and still cough present with relief with tylenol , but paracetamol is only provide relief in fever i.e. When fever occurs there develops cough and when you take tylenol fever subsides and relief in cough .
May be ,
1 History of illness is long so more chance of tuberculosis .
Diagnosis can be confirmed by fresh X ray chest with M R I ( repeat ) as previous reports were of early stage , so disease was not detected.
Consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion afresh.
2 Carcinoma lungs , diagnosis can be confirmed by x RAY and M R I fresh one and consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion.
3 If you are a smoker then typhoid fever with asthma ( smokers cough ) may be the reason so get in blood for Widal test and take opinion of a physician.Low grade is the reason of tiredness and pain all over body.
In my opinion consult a pulmonologist and deal accordingly.
Good luck. Dr. HET
