Swelling On Head After Being Hit, Bruising Under One Eye, Persisting Headache, No Confusion Or Blurry Vision. Any Thoughts?
Hi. I hit my head 10 days ago and it swelled immediately. (very large like an egg) Although the swelling lessoned considerably that day, I have some bruising under one eye and still have a headache . (not bad, more of a tingling sensation.) no confusion or blurry vision . I really thought it would be all better by now. Thoughts?
Hello It seems from the history that you had injury following which you are having swelling on head and bruising of eye. This may be because of collection of blood under skin called as hematoma. Bruising in eye is because of collection of blood under eye lid skin. Since you are not having any other symptoms like loss of consciousness, bleeding from nose or ears chances of head injury are very less. Hence no need to worry for headache you can use analgesic drugs after consultation with your physician.
Thank you
