Swelling, Increase In Weight. Taking Omnacortil, Stopped, Swelling Of Eyes. Cold. Advise To Come Out Of Side Effects?
Doctor i used Omnacortil 40 mg for 1 month for wheezing problem. I got face swelling and 5 kg increase in weight.
Now i stopped the tablet immediately.
After stopping, I have sharp swelling of eyes, a bit of cold and swelling in leg fingers. Is it normal.
Need your advise to come out of the sideeffects of this tablet

hi
you have taken steroid , omnicortil and suffering from steroid withdrawal syndrome(cushings syndrome)( swelling , weight gain , puffy eyes).
your own body has stopped making steroids as you are taking steroids tablets.(2 weeks required)
i would suggest you to do following
1.start taking oncicortil again and do a slow tappering, meaning half the dose of initial dosage for every three days and then stop omnicortil, go back to your GP, and he will do the same
2 start taking benzodiazepine drugs but is very little effective

Very very sorry that you were misusing omnacortril 40 mg/day, so high dose.
Many times on previous occasion I have said that these drugs are life saving hence only meant in emergency condition.
Just for wheezing , you were misusing and playing with your life , a shameful act.
Any way now, use antihistamine and frusemide twice in day and you will get complete relief from these side effects from 5-7 days.
Get in blood examination fro calcium level and also for bone density test for any loss to bones due to misuse of omnacortril.
