Swelling In Vaginal Area, Pain In Left Side Of Clitoris. No Pain, Discolouration. History Of Diabetes And Yeast Infections. Advice
I have noticed over the last 2 days that when I sit to pee my entire vaginal area is swollen. I have a large spongy area between urethra and vagina that is extremely swollen. This isn't painful. The pain is to the left of my clitoris. Feels like a swollen muscle. No discoloration. I m diabetic and have frequent yeast infections. I can hardly sit or bend over. Have tried warm compresses but only twice.

Hi,
- The swelling of vagina is due to itching secondary to yeast infection you have, the red discolouration due to inflammation/white discolouration due to collected white discharge..
- The swelling on left side may indicate Bartholinitis(swelling of bartholin gland normally situated there)
You will need metranidazole preparation,antibiotic ( Doxycyclin,norfloxecin gr,
.),anti-inflammatory(Ibuprofen gr.),Micanozole vag. pesseries, locl creame of same medicine for both of you.
- Any infection healing needs good control of Diabetese . So you have to check your blood suger -both fasting &post meal-& get the doses adjested as per need.
Finally you need to consult a Gynac & your consultant for diabetese
so as to avail exact medicines for cure of the problem.
