Swelling In The Ankle And Feet After A THR. Is It Normal?

I'm 68 and retired (mainly because I was in so much hip pain).I had a THR(left hip) last Nov. 2012 and have done great...I had an excellent doctor and have excellent results...no pain from day one and walking great. My question is my left foot and ankle have started swelling by mid-morning. Our hot weather has started here in AZ, but I've never had trouble with my feet swelling. Could the be swelling related to my hip surgery? Thank you!

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

Please check out other reasons also like early heart failure, presence of DVT OR BLOCKAGE OF VEIN in lower limb.THR at this stage is not the reason for swelling.

Hope this will help you.
