Swelling in lips, burning and itchy sensation. What is wrong?

My husband s lips have swelled up 3 times in the last month. The first time, he woke up with both lips swollen. We thought it could have been new toothpaste but about 3 weeks later just his upper lip swelled up on one side. Today when he got to work he said he felt his upper lip swell again. It goes away and does not burn , itch , or have blisters.

Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that cause of your husband's lips swelling can be due to some insect bite or due to some repeated injury from a sharp tooth.

You should get him examined in a dental clinic.

He can be given an antihistamine like cetrizine 10 mg along with an anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen.

I would advise you that get him clinically examined and investigated.
I hope this is helpful to you.
