Swelling And Redness On Face, Neck Soreness After Injury, Headache

Hi I work with special needs children and today one of my students had an agressive outburst, she grabbed my neck and hit me with a punching motion at my cheek. I iced it but I think my adrenaline was pumping so I didn't feel pain. But now I'm home and my face where I got hit is swollen and still very red. I don't see any bruising but it hurts ! I can't touch it, or even lay on that side of my face. My neck is also sore I guess from when she grabbed me. I also have a headache.

Hello
Welcome to HCM

You are doing a nobel work. Sudden injury on face may have caused some muscular injury and this is causing pain in neck and redness over face. You have associated headache also and this can be due to some stress or due to pain in neck. You can take any good pain killer for that and if you don't get relief with commonly used medicines then consult a doctor for help.

Thanks
