Suggestion Of Permanent Medication For Migraines

I have had migraines for years and now I am on Topomax, Propanolol and Maxalt. I get exhausted every day and have trouble focusing. All these meds still do not take away the migraines I have been experiencing and its becoming overwhelming when you have this type of pain daily.

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

I think that you have a severe type of migraine which is not getting treated with the medication. There is a chance that you have a seizure or increased electrical activity of the brain. To confirm this, you will need to see a Doctor to get an EEG to confirm the cause.

You can try a few home remedies to see if it helps you:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Drink lots of water
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
