Hi dear. Welcome to HealthCareMagic. Thanks for trusting us. I have understood your questions. Hope you are in good health right now.

Firstly, vaparin Chrono contains sodium varlproate, and the active ingredient is valproic acid. It's used to treat seizure, depression, alcohol withdrawal, prophylaxis of migraine, and bipolar mania.

It's true that weight gain is one of its side effects. The other most common are indigestion, stomach pain, hair loss, muscle and joint pain, nighttime urinary incontinence, nausea vomiting, dizziness, mood changes, anxiety, weight loss, muscles weakness and any more. You should contact your treating doctor if the symptoms you feel really severe and persist, or disturb your quality of life.

You have to know that valparin Chrono is used as the prophylaxis or to prevent migraine. It's not used for acute migraine headache. You may not have migraine right now, but you can't stop using this drug suddenly. You should contact your doctor about your condition. Maybe you need dosage adjustment.

To be your concerns:
1. Avoid drinking alcohol while using valparin Chrono since it could increase the certain side effects of it.
2. This drug may impair your thinking process. Please be careful when driving or something which need your alertness, it may cause sleepiness.
3. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, it can make your skin get sunburn easier. Use sunscreen protector or closed clothing while day outside.
4. If you consume another medicine or supplement, you should contact to your doctor. Because some drugs may have interactions with valparin, that may increase the side effects.
5. Do not stop immediately. It may cause withdrawal and harm for you. Do not take double dose if you miss a dose. Swallow whole of the drug. Take it regularly at same time.

I hope this can be helpful to resolve your worries. I'd be happy to help if you have another question to be discussed, feel free to ask me in HealthCareMagic. Take care.

Regards,
dr. Asti Yuliadha
