Hi.I appreciate your concern. Its really good that you are trying to make an effort to quit alcohol abuse. The first attempt towards this is to make a firm decision to quit this habit. You can do this by comparing what you get and what you lost by this habit.Take all the negative and positive aspects of it to compare like just for sake of your stress management you are destroying your personal life. You are losing your friends and closed ones. Taking alcohol is your way of unwinding a stressful day but slowly it is ruining your health.Due to this you are also unable to spend time with you close ones. Both personal and social life is affected...... For stress relief and refreshment purpose you can take help of meditation, yoga or you can get engage in watching telivision. Keep urself busy during that period.Try to avoid the fellows who ask you to drink.Learn to say no to them. ... Not only decision making you will have to work on it by slowly tapering the dose and frequency like 2-3 days in a week with less than usual. It will take 2-3 months and you will get rid of it.In starting it will disturb you a lot like you will have headache, dizziness, irritation anxiety and sleep disorders.but slowly you will overcome it.If your complication get severe like if you have more diarrhoea or increased BP or tremors you should soon consult you doctor......you have to take help of somebody like on whom you have faith and to whom you listen. This tips will surely help you.....If the above information does not helps you ,you can also join rehabilitation centres for alcohol withdrawal or seek a medical help for detoxification.you can talk to a physician about detox......My idea will surely help you.Good luck.
