Suggest Ways To Lose Weight

I am a 60 year old man. 5 feet, 11 inches. medium build. I want to lose weight. I weigh around 195, and want to weigh about 175. I can t get below about 185 and keep it there. I m not very active. Never have been in terms of being in the habit of regular workouts . I m active, but I don t work out . As far as diets go, what can I do. I ve tried high fat, low carb, Just got done with a month of nutrisystem and only lost about 8 lbs. What do you suggest? Mitch

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The best way to reduce weight is by adopting to a proper proportionate diet and exercise. It is recommend to reduce weight gradually.
Kindly do the following:
1. Eat healthy diet rich in dietary fibre. Avoid intake of foods rich in refined carbohydrates, carbonated water or juices, calorigenic foods, junk foods, fatty foods and supplement with intake of vegetables, complex carbohydrates, moderate quantity of fats and good quantity of proteins. Also include fresh fruits in the diet.
2. Exercise regularly by means of brisk walk daily for about 40 minutes along with other active physical activities such as jogging and swimming.
Gradually, you should start reducing weight. Adjust the diet as per the needs and exercise regularly by means of constant monitoring.
