Suggest Treatments For Frequent Heart Palpitations

Hi, I have constant heart palpatations..with sometimes of a heart beat of 244 per minute. A doctor said I have tachycardia, but it happens more frequently when I bend over. My heart starts to race and it feels like my chest is tightening or being sat on. I was wondering if you could give me some insight on this. A nurse where I work ( I am an LNA) told me I should have a heart catheterization done.

Welcome to HCM

A thorough history and physical examination is the first step -
EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
