Hello doctor, I have missed periods. It was due on 16th of this month. There are no chances of pregnancy also. I have primolut n tablet. Will I get my periods if I have this. What is the dosage and for how many days to have. I am 30 years old. Thank you. Nithya

If you do not see it, please see a specialist for proper appraisal of the situation before you start the hormone course for induction of the period. Usually, the dosage of the medication depends on the duration, body weight and often twice a day is sufficient. Higher doses may be needed with overweight/obese persons. In such cases, 5 mg. thrice a day is prescribed for 5-7 days. Withdrawal bleeding is expected 3-7 days after completion of the treatment. Hope this helps.
