Suggest Treatment To Induce Sleep During Night In A Patient Suffering From Parkinsons Disease

Dear Sir,

My father is suffering from Parkinson disease. He is 87 years old. height:5.6. Weight is about 70 Kg. He takes medicine Syndopa - 1/2 -1/2-1/2 -1/2 (i.e four times in a day) and Selgin(5mg) - 1-0-0. The problem now is , he won't sleep at all during night. He urinate in bed many times in a day. He gets angry quickly. Is there any medicine to make him sleep during night. What is the solution for this ? Kindly help us Sir. Thanking you - Sudhir, Bangalore

Parkinson are debilitating disorder require much of help to treat patient
many of them are psychologically disturb
need psychological support of their caregivers

depression and sleep disturbance are most common associated finding

depression is presented with irritable mood and lost of interest in activity and irritability
tab sertraline 50 mg in morning will taken care of his mood symptoms
and for a sleep

tab lorazepam 2 mg will give him peaceful sleep if still have sleep problem than u can add tab clonazepam .5 mg
