Suggest Treatment To Increase The Immunity Against Cough And Cold
Sir,
My 2 year old daughter has an awful cough since last 9 months sometimes it feels that she will start vomit due to this cough. It starts at any time but mostly when she is in bed at night or after taking milk/food. I took her to the Doctor he said it is throat/chest infections and recommended few medicines and I have tried everything i.e Honey, home remedies, medicines, homeopathic but all are in vain. Her immune system is weak. Due to this she gets sick every after 20 days or 1 month. Recently she has suffered with very high fever due to typhoid. She is not healthy I got her chest X ray and everything is fine.
She always asks for butter with Bread/Chapattis. Is it OK to give her butter during the cough? Can I give her cod liver oil on daily basis?

Frequent cold coughs and that to nighttime coughs could be due to allergy.Get her investigated to rule out other causes of persistent cough.If they are negative then you can give her monteleukast for 3 months under doctors supervision. Collustrum powders(like lactrum) on milk for three months is also good option.As you said cod liver oil can be given
Look for allergy precipiter in your house.( no soft toys.no smoke.no chips ,chocolate, cream biscuits.no going out at early morning and late evening)
