Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
1. Use budecort daily without fail . No point in using intermittently.
2. Test him for allergies ( skin test or blood specific Ig E)
3. Stop Ventolin syrup.
I usually add Salbutamol inhaler 3 puffs every 3 hours for 3 days to temporarily improve symptoms

Wishing your child good health
Regards
DR Arun

Pediatrician Dr. Suresh K Yadav's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You need to give regular prophylactic therapy which includes inhaled steroids like budecort , but main point is that one needs to use these regularly to be effective ,it is not for as and when required use . Salbutamol inhalation can be used to control acute symptoms as and when required. So most important is regular use ,if despite regular use , symptoms are not under control , use of combinations like foracort ,adding drugs like monteleukast can be considered by your health care provider to control symptoms.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
*Always check for history of allergy before taking any medicine.
Take care.
