Suggest Treatment To Decrease Waist Size When Suffering From Borderline Diabetes

1/11 I had an AIC of 6.8, doc diagnosed me at borderline diabetes, I have since gone on a low-carb heavy plant based diet. Very stressful past few months, horrible eating patterns. At the time of test i was 164 pounds. I m 5 3. Today my fasting bs was 92. I then did 40 minutes of cardio (had not eaten). My bs was 107 right after the workout. 1.5 hours later it was 111, and 2.5 hours post workout it was 91. Still hadnt eaten, but ate then. My weight is down to 155. Schedule to have a lipoabdominoplasty 2/17. Are my numbers good? My waist is 38 inches due to excess fat and skin in this area, but I have never worn more than I size 6 pants (woman). I am also hoping that without all this excess it will help with glucose control, although I know they say its internal fat that is the issue. I just cant help but to think removing all this excess that I cant get rid of will help. Even at lower weight, my waist was dispropriate to my pant size.

ah.... abdominal fat pattern is associated with increased risk of diabetes and heart disease. Metformin may be helpful in all of this. There is otherwise not very good treatment medically for disproportionate abdominal fat. Overall lower weight, cardio exercise, but it generally is far less than 100% effective.
