Suggest Treatment To Cure Umbilical Hernia

i have a umbilical hernia,what type of surgeon will be best for this health issue?what is the safest and visually the best procedure/surgery?i need a dr. that is in my united health care insurance plan.i live in white house station n.j 08889.I m female and l would like to have my belly button look natural...what s best?thank you, jo ann

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your umbilical hernia and wants surgery in a way that the umbilicus looks normal.
I would suggest your the following:
Consult a General Surgeon at the hernia center, which takes care of only hernia cases so that the most experienced Surgeons can handle your case.
There are 3 options.
1) One is an open herniorrhaphy wherein the natural umbilicus can be very well restored.
2 Laparoscopic mesh repair.
3) combination of the two as mentioned above.
